Sam Scaturro, the oldest son of Ben Scaturro, serves as the President of Alpine Painting & Sandblasting Contractors. Since joining the company full-time after graduating with a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rutgers University in 2000, Sam has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of Alpine.
With a wealth of experience as an Estimator and Project Manager, Sam possesses a deep understanding of the industry and specializes in estimating complex industrial projects. He also assumes responsibility for the financial direction of Alpine, overseeing updates to the company's quality and safety programs, with a steadfast commitment to making safety the top priority.
Sam's dedication to professional development is evident through his extensive training and certifications. He holds designations as a Safety & Health Specialist in Construction, SSPC Quality Control Supervisor, Concrete Coatings Inspector, Protective Coatings Specialist, and a NACE Level 3 Coatings Inspector. His expertise has been crucial in executing challenging projects, including the First Energy Penstock Painting and the application of the Grit Coat system to the Newark Airport Monorail.
Under Sam's leadership, Alpine Painting & Sandblasting Contractors has been honored with various prestigious awards, including NJ, ABC, UTCA, NJSA, and PDCA Construction Safety accolades, as well as ABC, PDCA, and SSPC Top Jobs recognition.
Outside of his role at Alpine, Sam dedicates his time to various industry organizations and community initiatives. He serves as a board member for SSPC (Society for Protective Coatings) and KLA (Kreisher Miller Leadership Alliance) and volunteers at the Community Outreach Services in Paterson, NJ.
When not immersed in work, Sam enjoys spending quality time with his family and engaging in outdoor activities. He has a passion for adventure races and actively participates in competitions. Sam shares his father and uncle's deep-rooted passion for industrial painting and remains committed to working alongside his brothers to further Alpine's growth and prosperity.
